Dinner/Tweetup at Sake Street (@sakestreet)
Mel and I went to a Tweetup at Sake Street this past weekend and I didn’t know what to expect. The joke was I was gonna order drop Mel off and then go down to Sekiya’s to eat saimin and then come back to get her after the tweetup was over. Turns out that was not necessary as I did find something to eat and it was YUM!
I had their Uni-licious noodles dish with shrimp, scallops and calamari in it, Mel had some kind of a vermiceli dish and we had an order of mochiko chicken lollipops.
Wes also gave the group a complimentary dessert sampling plate of many assorted items. There was a lot of “positioning” going on from the assembled group of people who each seemed to have their favorites. (This was the only comped part of our meal.)
@kaimiorange @lauriecicotello and i found our “happy place” with the desserts! my particular favorite was the Sweet Okinawan Potato Cheesecake. To Die For !
